___________________________

This is a standard barbershop arrangement that I first heard done by the group "Four Voices" which is composed of four guys from the "Voices of Lee" choir from Lee University. I brought the song to the guys in our quartet and the more we sang it in concert, the more we liked it.

As we were wrapping up the recording of "The Hand of Mercy," we needed a twelfth song to finish the album, and although it wasn't planned to even be on the album, we recorded it last, almost as an afterthought. It turned out so well that we decided to make it the first track on the album.

Some glad morning when my life is o'er
I'll fly away
To a home on God's celestial shore
I'll fly away

(Chorus)
I'll fly away, oh glory!
I'll fly away
To the sky, hallelujah by and by
I'll fly away!

When the shadows of life have grown
I'll fly away
Like a bird from prison bars has flown
I'll fly away

(Repeat Chorus)

Just a few more weary days and then
I'll fly away
To a land where joy will never end
I'll fly away

(Repeat Chorus Twice)
